John Gill Suspended from Wildcat Football Team

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern Head Football Coach Pat Fitzgerald announced today (Aug. 5) that senior John Gill (Los Altos Hills, Calif./Bellarmine Prep) has been suspended for the first week (Aug. 4-10) of preseason practice as well as the Wildcats' season-opening game vs. Syracuse on Aug. 30.

Gill, who has started 30 career games at defensive tackle, was suspended for a violation of team policy.
