Conference Announces 2008 Spring Academic All-Big Ten Awards

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Big Ten Conference has announced its Academic All-Big Ten honorees for the 2008 spring season, with a total of 46 Northwestern student-athletes earning the honor from the school's six conference-sponsored spring sports (baseball, softball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis) and two NU sports that fall under the Big Ten's at-large category (women's fencing, women's lacrosse).
To earn an Academic All-Big Ten award, a student-athlete must letter and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or better while in at least their second year of attendance at the school.
