EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern has named Christy Finch (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) of women's lacrosse as its Hilton Garden Inn Athlete of the Week. With the men's spring season complete, there is no male athlete of the week.

Finch scored the game-winning goal en route to Northwestern's 10-6 national title victory over Penn on Sunday. She also moved into fourth place on the NCAA all-time turnovers caused list, with 180 for her career. The defender helped hold the nation's leading scorer, Katie Rowan of Syracuse, to zero points on only two shots in the semifinal game Friday.

Her efforts this past weekend earned her a spot on the all-tournament team. The senior captain ends her Northwestern career a four-time national champion with an overall record of 83-3.
