Friday's Opener With Iowa Postponed Due to Rain

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Friday night's series-opening baseball contest between Northwestern and Iowa at Duane Banks Field has been postponed due to persistent rain. The teams attempt to get the series underway Saturday with a doubleheader tentatively slated for 1 p.m.

The teams also intend on playing a doubleheader Sunday at a time to be determined.

NU enters play this weekend tied for fifth-place in the Big Ten at 5-7, while the Hawkeyes are one game back at 4-8.
