Scouting the Hoosiers
The Hoosiers are coming off an 81-65 loss at Iowa on Thursday, which marks their second loss in the past three games. With a 6-4 Big Ten mark, Indiana is in the thick of the conference race as one of only five teams with an above .500 record. The Hoosiers are tough at home, having dropped only two contests all season within the friendly confines of Assembly Hall. Junior Whitney Thomas is IU's biggest all-around threat, averaging 12.1 ppg and 9.5 rpg. Jamie Braun (15.3), Amber Jackson (12.0) and Kim Roberson (10.8) join Thomas in averaging double figures. Senior Nikki Smith is the Hoosiers' long marksman, hitting 39 percent of her looks from three.
The Series Against Indiana
With a victory over Northwestern back on Dec. 31, the Hoosiers took a 29-28 advantage in the all-time series between the two squads. The last time these two teams met, Indiana pulled out a 84-53 decision at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Freshman Meshia Reed poured in a then-career-high 23 points and was the only Wildcat to score in double-figures. Amy Jaeschke added a team-high nine rebounds. The last time Northwestern defeated IU was in 2004.
Family Matters
Cousins Amy and Ellen Jaeschke have made an immediate impact at Northwestern. In 14 out of NU's 22 games, one Jaeschke has led the team in either scoring or rebounding. Amy recorded 12 points against Purdue on Sunday, marking the seventh time her 12 games she has led the team in scoring. Her 10 rebounds were also a team-high and marked the third time this season she has chalked up a double-double. Amy has led NU in rebounding on seven occasions. Ellen, a junior, has topped the scoring column three times in 22 games and been the rebounding leader on five occasions. She is also shooting a team-best 42 percent from the field.
Bibbs Comes Alive

She is also second on the team in points (10.0), rebounds (5.0) and third in free-throw percentage (62 percent) over those four games.
