JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Northwestern officially opened its spring season Saturday with a 286-289 victory over Jacksonville at Pablo Creek Golf Course.

The Wildcats were led by sophomore David Lipsky (La Canada, Calif./La Canada), who carded a bogey-free round of 4-under 68. Freshman Josh Dupont (Poway, Calif. (Cathedral Catholic)) racked up four birdies en route to a 1-under 71.

Justin Jones had a 2-under 70 to lead Jacksonville.
