EVANSTON, Ill. -- Wildcat senior Ellen Jaeschke (Cary, Ill./Cary-Grove) of the women's basketball team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Athlete of the Week for her efforts over the weekend.

Jaeschke netted 17 points, including a game-high 15 in the first half, in Northwestern's contest at Big East foe DePaul on Sunday. Jaeschke connected on six of her first seven attempts from the field during the opening 12 minutes, helping NU shoot 62 percent in that span. She also collected three rebounds and had one steal.

No men's teams were in action last week.

This week's Community Service Athlete of the Week is junior Courtney Coburn (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington) of the field hockey team. Coburn and other student-athletes from the field hockey team collected new toys at the program's end-of-the-year banquet. The team collected more than 30 toys which were donated to Family Focus of Evanston, a non-profit organization that has provided family support services to parents, children and teens for the past 20 years. Members of the team delivered the toys on Dec. 5.
