NU Announces Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Wildcat junior Elizabeth Dobbs (Wellesley, Mass./St. Ignatius (San Francisco)) of the field hockey team and junior Pat Coleman (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) of the men's soccer team have been named the Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week for their performances over the weekend.
Dobbs recorded her first two starts of 2008 and scored twice in Northwestern's hard-fought split in a weekend series at Iowa. She made an immediate impact against Missouri State, scoring twice in the first eight minutes of NU's 5-3 defeat of the Bears. Dobbs, who scored in four straight games earlier this year, is now second on the team in goals with seven.
Coleman tallied an assist on Matt Eliason's game winning goal in No. 3 NU's 2-1 home victory against Penn State on Saturday. Earlier in the week, Coleman helped Northwestern's defense keep a clean slate and not allow a single shot in a 0-0 tie with No. 11 Saint Louis. It was Northwestern's ninth shutout in 12 games this season.
