Northwestern Names Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern has named Ryan McIntosh (Louisville, Ky./Trinity) of men's swimming and diving and Lauren Lui (Houston, Texas/Kinkaid) of women's tennis as its Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week.
McIntosh broke Northwestern's season-best scores on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards Saturday to help Northwestern to a win over No. 21 Notre Dame. The senior diver's score of 356.70 on the 3-meter board was NU's best of the year and his best since Nov. 11, 2005, placing him second only to Notre Dame NCAA Championships veteran Michael Bulfin. McIntosh then turned the tables, winning the 1-meter board with an NU-season-best 326.70.
Lui breezed through yet another singles victory on the way to a 7-0 Northwestern win over the 15th-ranked team in the nation, William & Mary. Lui defeated Magdalena Bresson, 6-0, 6-1 and also teamed up with Samantha Murray to beat Megan Moulton-Levy and Katarina Zoricic in doubles, 8-5. Lui and Murray now are ranked seventh in the nation as a doubles pair and Lui is ranked 68th in singles.
