EVANSTON, Ill.-- Seventh-ranked Northwestern finished the last day of the Wildcat Invitational on Sunday unblemished as they started on Friday at the Combe Tennis Center.

Second-ranked freshman Maria Mosolova (Moscow, Russia) won Flight A, which was one of five wins for the Wildcats through the tournament. Sophomore Samantha Murray (Altrincham, England/Altrincham Grammar) took the victory in Flight B with nine points, junior Nazlie Ghazal (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral) won both Flight C and Flight D with seven and six points in each Flight and Suzie Matzenauer (Tacoma, Wash./Bellarmine) won Flight E.

Senior Alexis Conill (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) finished second in Flight F, two points behind Western Michigan's Amanda Moccia.

Dudzik and Ashley Moccia from Western Michigan tied for the win in Flight G with three points a piece, while Nelson from Utah won Flight H with three points.

Also in Flight A, Murray earned five points with a singles win and two doubles wins, which was good for third best in the Flight. Lauren Lui (Houston, Texas/Kinkaid) and Robison both finished with two points and Georgia Rose (Mettawa, Ill./North Shore Country Day) earned one.

Overall on the weekend, NU demolished its singles competition as it did not drop a single match. In doubles, NU only fell twice, while racking up 18 victories.

The Invitational wrapped up the Wildcat's open matches, as they begin dual-match play on Jan. 20 against William & Mary at the Combe Tennis Center.
