Stutz Sustains Partial ACL Tear

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Senior Sara Stutz (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) has sustained a partial ACL tear after twisting her left knee awkwardly in the second half of the Penn State game on Thursday, Jan. 10. The guard is anticipated to be out for at least three weeks.
Stutz's injury is just one in a long line of misfortunes for Northwestern so far this season. Seven Wildcats have at one point had to sit out due to injury. Here is a list of the current injuries.
Senior Sara Stutz--Partial left ACL tear. Expected to be out for at least three weeks.
Sophomore Kaitlin McInerney--Right ACL tear. Out for season.
Sophomore Kristin Cartwright--Anticipated to redshirt the season due to ACL surgery this past summer.
Sophomore Lakhiyia Hicks--Continuing rehab following left hip surgery. Status is day-to-day.
Sophomore Beth Marshall--Left femoral stress fracture. Expected to be out two-to-three more weeks.
