Northwestern Names Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern has named Alex Quinn (Watertown, Mass./Watertown) of field hockey and David Roth (St. Louis, Mo./Chaminade College Prep) of men's soccer as its Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week.
Quinn scored a career-high three goals in the field hockey team's 4-2 victory over Central Michigan in the first game of the season on Saturday. Quinn's first goal came 2:48. Her second goal was the game-winning goal, which came less than three minutes after CMU tied the score at one nearing the end of the first half.
Roth, a Hermann Trophy Award candidate, scored Northwestern's lone goal in the 'Cats 1-1 exhibition match against No. 22 Saint Louis on Saturday. Last season, Roth led the team with eight goals and five assists.
