Seedings Determined for ALC Tournament

BALTIMORE, Md. - The seedings have been set for this weekend's inaugural American Lacrosse Conference Tournament. Johns Hopkins will be hosting the event at Homewood Field May 3, 4 and 6. The champion will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Defending champion Northwestern earned the #1 seed in the tournament after going 4-0 in the ALC this season. Vanderbilt, on the strength of a 3-1conference record, is the #2 seed. Hopkins earned the #3 seed, Ohio State the #4 seed and Penn State is the #5 seed.

Ohio State and Penn State will square off on Thursday, May 3 at 1:00 pm in the first round. The winner of that game will meet Northwestern in the semifinals, Friday, May 4 at 5:00 pm. Vanderbilt and Hopkins will meet in the second semifinal on Friday at 7:30 pm. The semifinal winners will battle for the ALC title on Sunday, May 6 at 1:00 pm. The championship game will be televised live by CSTV.

Admission will be charged for the tournament. There will be no advanced ticket sales. Gates will open one hour prior to game time (cash and check only). Single-day tickets for adults are $6. For students of the participating schools and children under 18, tickets are $4. Children under the age of 2 will be admitted free. There will be no re-entry into the stadium without the purchase of a ticket. Parking near the stadium will be available in the Homewood Lot, Muller Deck and Carnegie Deck for a minimum of $3.
