On Friday, November 16, members of the Lacrosse, Baseball, Men's and Women's Soccer and Field Hockey teams joined up with Special Olympics athletes to play basketball, bean bag toss and socialize during the annual Sports Night celebration at Patten Gymnasium.

Natalie Bond said, "Sports Night went extremely well this year. We had a great student athlete turnout, and the Special Olympics athletes had a blast! The NU athletes were very enthusiastic and really embraced the opportunity to interact with Special O athletes...they initiated games of basketball, volleyball, and even four square, participated in dance-offs, and played bean-bag toss. It was just awesome to see both groups of athletes hanging out, and to see the mutual respect fostered between them. All in all, Sports Night was a great success, and we have our NU athletes to thank for that!"
