Northwestern Names Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern has named Sterling Williams (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) of men's basketball and Nadia Bibbs (Chicago, Ill./Hillcrest) of women's basketball as its Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week.
Williams scored a career-high 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting against Brown on Saturday. In the first half, the senior had just four points before exploding for 16 in the second, while hitting 7-of-9 from the floor. Williams also racked up four steals, three rebounds and two assists. In the victory over Benedictine, Willams added six more points and three more rebounds, without turning the ball over once in either game.
Bibbs recorded her first double-double of the season in the victory over Loyola (Chicago) on Sunday. To go along with Bibbs' 11 rebounds, the guard scored 17 points, while connecting on 8-of-14 field goals. Bibbs nearly missed out on the triple-double, as she totaled eight assists, as well. With her Georgia Tech outing, Bibbs recorded 15 assists for the week. She also added four points, five rebounds and a steal against Georgia Tech.
