EVANSTON, Ill--Three Wildcats have been invited to play in the ITA National Indoor Tennis Championships, Thursday in Columbus, Ohio. The selections come on the heels of the of ITA Regional Championships that took place last week.
Georgia Rose (Mettawa, Ill./North Shore Country Day) defeated teammate Samantha Murray (Altrincham, England/Altrincham Grammar) to take the title, which was moved to the Combe Tennis Center due to the all-NU finals. Because of the victory and finals appearance, the pair received bids to the 32-player field for a chance to become the national champion.
Maria Mosolova (Moscow, Russia) has lost just once all season long as a freshman, which has earned her an at-large selection to the tournament as well.
While the trio is competing in Columbus, the rest of the team heads to Palm Springs, Calif. for the Duals in the Desert.
