o me the word sportsmanship means to be fair. You can also be a person full of courtesy.  If you lose a game try to be a cheerful loser. At least you tried in your game.

I have showed some sportsmanship before in my games. Every game my team lose I try to cheer them up by telling them they tried. In my volleyball season, my team has never lost any games. Our record was 4-0. Then at our playoffs we lost. It was close though and few of the team was crying. My friend and I talked to them and some cheered up.

I've also seen people show my team and me sportsmanship. In my basketball season last year we had a 6-2 record and at the playoffs it looked like we were too confident and we lost. For some of us that was our first season. One of the sixth graders kept trying to get us happy and tell us its okay. We tried; we were close and we're going to play next year.

To me good sportsmanship means working together and to have to work as a team during games and try really hard. Also to get serious and involved in the game. See my coach said, "It does not matter if we lose by two points and that means good sportsmanship was involved in the game." See if we lose by 13 you can tell there was not good sportsmanship during the game.

During practice when we play practice games we play with good sportsmanship but not always and we learn from are mistakes. So In a game we can play with good sportsmanship. Another example of showing good sportsmanship is when my cousin was playing a basketball game and he showed good sportsmanship because he worked as a team player passing and shooting with the chances he had. Also during volleyball game schools teams were playing and I noticed good sportsmanship. They passed and tried as hard as they could and won and that's the gift back for having good sportsmanship.

This is what I feel and think of good sportsmanship. And to me that means there should be good sportsmanship in every game.
