Television, Game Times Updated For 2006 Season

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern announced kickoff times for six of its 12 games, as well as television plans for a pair of nonconference road games on Tuesday.

The Wildcats open the season at Miami (Ohio) University in Oxford, Ohio, on Thursday, Aug. 31. That game will begin at 6:30 p.m. CDT and be televised by ESPNU or ESPN Classic.

Three weeks later, Northwestern concludes nonconference play with a nationally televised game (ESPN2) at Nevada. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CDT.

Sandwiched between those two road games are home contests versus New Hampshire (Sept. 9) and Eastern Michigan (Sept. 16). Those two contests are tentatively set for 1 p.m. CDT.

The Big Ten Conference also announced that the Wildcats' two late October games vs. Michigan State (Oct. 21) and at Michigan (Oct. 28) will kick off at 11 a.m. CDT. Northwestern will celebrate homecoming the weekend of Oct. 20 and 21.
