EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern junior Chris Wilson (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) earned Big Ten Conference Co-Golfer of the Week honors after leading the Wildcats with a career-best second-place finish at last weekend's Fossum/Spartan Invitational in East Lansing, Mich.
Wilson, a 2005 second-team All-Big Ten selection, recorded a 2-under-par 214 (70-68-76) and shared the runner-up spot with Minnesota's Bronson La'Cassie. Wilson's second-round 68, which gave him a share of the lead after 36 holes, equaled his career-best single round.
Wilson ranks second on the Wildcats' stroke average list with a mark of 73.47. He has four top-20 finishes this season.
The weekly honor marks the first of Wilson's career.
