Wildcats Add One More to 2007-08 Class

EVANSTON, Ill.-- Northwestern women's basketball head coach Beth Combs announced today the signing of Meshia Reed to a National Letter of Intent. Reed joins Amy Jaeschke, Shantina Boyd and Savannah Stedman to complete Combs' 2007-08 recruiting class. Jenny Eckhart, a transfer from Syracuse, will also be eligible next season.
"Meshia is the most underrated player in the nation," Combs said. "She is athletic, quick, knows the game and is a playmaker. She has the ability to change the game. This class is a goldmine for our program. We are thrilled for the future of Wildcat basketball."
Reed will reunite with current NU players Kaitlin McInerney, Nadia Bibbs and Lakhiyia Hicks who were all members of the Chicago Hoops Express.
