EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern wrapped up the second day of the Wildcat invitational Saturday. Four Wildcats advanced to the final round of their flight. Junior Alexis Conill (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons), sophomore Keri Robison (Decatur, Ill./Florida) and freshmen Samantha Murray (Altrincham, England/Altrincham Grammar) and Suzanne Matzenauer (Tacoma, Wash./Bellarmine) will all play in singles finals on Sunday.
In the two-flight doubles draw, three of four possible spots in final matches are occupied by Wildcats. The team of Conill and Matzenauer will face Lauren Lui (Houston, Texas/Kinkaid) and Robison in one final. Nazlie Ghazal (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral) and Murray will take on a pair from Wisconin in the other final.
Robison defeated Ghazal to advance to the final round of her singles flight. She will play Jennifer Migan of Indiana State, who downed Lui in the semifinal. Murray and Matzenauer will have a battle of Wildcat freshman in another singles final. Conill will face Minnesota's Alex Seaton in her final match.
