Northwestern Set to Host Wildcat Invitational

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern is set to host the Wildcat Invitational Oct. 6-8. The invitational is an individual tournament featuring 11 schools, including four from the Big Ten and local foes DePaul and UIC.
Play begins Friday at 8:30 a.m., while competition begins Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. Play will last throughout the day on each day of the tournament.
The field includes: Iowa State, Indiana State, DePaul, UIC, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Louisville, Michigan State, Western Michigan and Bowling Green. The draw consists of four singles flights and two doubles flights.
"It's a great chance for me to see our new players," head coach Claire Pollard said. "It's important to play matches in the fall and you can't create the same level of competition playing against each other."

Wildcats participating:
Freshmen: Lauren Lui (Houston Texas, Kinkaid), Suzanne Matzenauer (Tacoma, Wash./Ballarmine), Samantha Murray (Altrincham, Eng./Altrincham Grammar).
Sophomores: Nazlie Ghazal (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral), Keri Robison (Decatur, Ill./Florida) and Jen Taylor (Mequon, Wis./University School of Milwaukee).
Juniors: Alexis Conill (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons).
