EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern has named Carl Pett (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook) of men's soccer and Lauren Johnston (Denver, Colo./Denver East) of women's soccer its Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week.

Pett assisted on both Northwestern goals Sunday in the Wildcats' 2-0 win over Big Ten-foe Michigan. Pett's first assist set up teammate Brad North in the 23rd minute before his second helped senior Kyle Moore score the first goal of his career just 10 seconds before haltime.

Both goals helped NU snap a two-match scoring drought. Pett now leads the Big Ten with eight assists on the season.

Johnston earned her fourth shutout during Big Ten play Sunday with six saves in Northwestern's 1-0 victory at No. 16 Indiana. The win snapped the Hoosiers' 13-match unbeaten streak and was the Wildcats' first win over a ranked opponent since 2004.

Included in Johnston's six saves was a stop of a penalty shot in the 41st minute.
