EVANSTON, Ill. -- Tyrell Sutton (Akron, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban) and Kelsey Hans (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville) were named the Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week.
Sutton, a true freshman, rushed for 214 yards and four touchdowns to help Northwestern top Northern Illinois 38-37. Sutton also caught four balls to give him 230 all-purpose yards on the day. His four rushing TD's tied a school record held by several players, and his 214 rushing yards was the 14th-best performance in school history.
Hans was a big reason Northwestern's women's soccer team took home the Wildcat Classic crown. She had an outstanding tounament, recording two goals and an assist in each match. Her four goals this weekend were her first of the season.
