EVANSTON, Ill. -- Seniors Sarah Albrecht (Braintree, Mass./Thayer Academy) of lacrosse and Jon Mikrut (Wauconda, Ill./Carmel) of baseball have been named this week's Northwestern Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week.

Albrecht was Northwestern's leading scorer her freshman year, during the Wildcats' inaugural season back as a varsity program. She was NU's fifth-leading scorer this season, but Sunday against Princeton she proved that she still has the scoring touch when it is needed.

Albrecht scored a game-high four goals, including two unassisted, as the 'Cats knocked off the Tigers to advance to the NCAA Championship semifinal round.

Mikrut, the shortstop, was NU's hottest hitter last week. The senior hit .421 (8-for-19) and knocked out two home runs and a double on his way to a team-high seven RBI in five games.

Over the last 13 games, Mikrut has raised his average 57 points and now is second on the team with 34 RBI.
