Winter Academic All-Big Ten Teams Announced

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Big Ten announced the Academic All-Big Ten teams for the 2004-05 winter season, and a total of 24 Northwestern student-athletes were honored. The sports that were honored for the winter were men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming and diving, and wrestling (fencing will be included as an at-large sport when the spring 2005 Academic All-Big Ten teams are announced in May).
To earn Academic All-Big Ten recognition, an athlete must be in his/her second year at the institution, letter in his/her sport, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
