EVANSTON, Ill. - Sophomores Willy Lock (Lima, Peru/Markham College) and Eileen Canney (Paradise, Calif./Paradise) have been named Northwestern's Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week.

Lock continued his hot streak for the men's tennis team over the weekend, notching a pair of straight-set Big Ten wins to improve to 4-1 in conference play. Sunday against Penn State, Lock and doubles partner Christian Tempke provided the 'Cats with a big, 9-8 doubles win at No. 3 to help secure the team point, as Northwestern went on to beat the Nittany Lions, 4-3. Lock continues to be NU's most consistent performer, having won five of his last six to improve his team-leading record to 19-8 overall mark, 13-4 in duals.

Canney pitched a perfect game in the Wildcats' 10-0 rout of Illinois Friday afternoon at Sharon J. Drysdale Field. The effort was the Wildcats' fourth-ever perfect game, the 33rd no-hittter in school history and the first of both since April 23, 2000, against Michigan. Canney followed that performance by allowing just four hits and one run while striking out six in an 11-1, five-inning win over Iowa on Sunday.
