Wildcats Add One More to the Class of 2009

EVANSTON, Ill.-- Northwestern head coach Beth Combs announced that Julie Bielawski (Rogers, Ark./Rogers) has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Wildcat women's basketball program for the 2005-06 season.

Bielawski averaged 11 points and six rebounds her senior season, en route to earning all-state and all-conference accolades. In her final campaign, Bielawski led Rogers High to a tie for third place in the 5-A West Conference, as the team won five of their last six games. She was also named the KFSM Channel 5 Player of the Year and the Lady Mounties' Most Valuable Player.

"Julie will be a great addition to our Wildcat family," Combs said, "We are thrilled to be able to land a player of her caliber so late in the process and we are confident that she will help take us to the next level."

Bielawski is the fourth signee to join the class of 2009, which also includes Kristin Cartwright (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest), Erin Dickerson (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) and Lauren Roberts (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier College Preparatory). Bielawski's complete bio follows.
