Rain Washes Out Rest of Baseball Weekend

PHOENIX - Northwestern's three remaining baseball games at the Oakland A's Spring Training Tournament in Phoenix, Ariz., have been canceled. With a constant rain falling for the past 36 hours, tournament officials deemed the playing surfaces unfit to play for the remainder of the weekend.
In NU's lone contest in Phoenix, the Wildcats defeated Kansas State 4-2 Friday night.
Northwestern is next in action when they travel to Arlington, Texas to take part in a tournament hosted by the University of Texas-Arlington. The Wildcats' first game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., Friday afternoon vs. Texas-Arlington.
