Wildcats Improve During Day Two of Western Michigan Super Challenge

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Northwestern's women's tennis team wrapped up day two of the Western Michigan Super Challenge by going undefeated in singles play, 7-1 total on the day.
In singles action, Georgia Rose began play by topping Purdue's Whitney Reys 6-2, 6-2.
Jamie Peisel (Savanah, Ga./Savanah Country Day) then recorded her second win at the tournament by defeating Christine Skoda of Kansas 6-3, 6-4.
Nazlie Ghazal (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral) followed that performance by beating Kansas' Eizaveta Avdeeva 7-6, 6-0.
Feriel Esseghir (Sarasota, Fla./UCLA) won her second match this fall by defeating the Jayhawks' Lauren Hommell 6-1, 7-6.
Alexis Conill (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) capped off singles play for the Wildcats by defeating Edina Horvath 6-4, 2-6, 6-1.
In doubles play, the team of Conill/Peisel defeated DePaul's Ganeva/Mihaldinec, 8-6.
Northwestern got its seventh victory of the day when the team of Ghazal/Mead (Western Michigan) topped DePaul's Murisic/Rehusova, 8-4.
