Northwestern Set to Host Wildcat Invitational

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern is set to host the Wildcat Invitational Oct. 7-9. The invitational is an individual tournament with four flights--two doubles flights and two singles flights.
Play on Friday, Oct. 7 begins at 9:30 a.m., while competition begins at 9 a.m. Oct. 8-9. Play will last throughout the day on each day of the tournament.
The invitational features some of the top teams in the nation, including four teams that finished top-50 in the final 2004 ITA women's team rankings. The field includes DePaul, Illinois-Chicago, Iowa State, Louisville, Michigan, Northern Illinois, Northwestern, Ohio State, Western Michigan and Wisconsin.
Northwestern's Alexis Conill (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons), Feriel Esseghir (Sarasota, Fla./UCLA), Nazlie Ghazal (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral) and Jamie Peisel (Savannah, Ga./Savannah Country Day) will compete in the tournament for the 'Cats.
Cristelle Grier (Epsom, England/Putney), Alexis Prousis (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) and Georgia Rose (Mettawa, Ill./North Shore Country Day) are all currently competing in the 2005 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif., which wraps up on Oct. 9.
