
Wildcats Compete At Big Ten Championships

EVANSTON, Ill.-- Northwestern's cross country team placed 11th today at the 2005 Big Ten Championships hosted by the University of Minnesota at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn. Celia Franklin (So., Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) was Northwestern's top runner, finishing 44th with a time of 22:45.04.
Michigan claimed the championship for the fourth-consecutive year, while Illinois junior Alyson Kohlmeier won the individual title.
Allison King (Fr., Potomac, Mich./Winston Churchill) finished 60th with a time of 23:19.89 followed by Mallory O'Niel (Jr., Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Wylie E. Groves), Hilary Forman (Fr., Prairie Village, Kan./Pembroke) and Carly Brown (Fr., Kalispell, Mont./Flathead).
The Wildcats return to action at the NCAA Midwest Championships Saturday, Nov. 12 in Iowa City, Iowa.
