EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern has named freshman Mike Tamillow (Oak Park, Ill./Fenwick) of wrestling and senior Sarah Kwasinski (Chicago, Ill./Fenwick) of women's basketball its Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week. Both student-athletes are products of Fenwick High School.

Tamillow provided one of many memorable individual Wildcat performances in Northwestern's 22-19 comeback victory over Iowa Friday night. With Northwestern trailing 19-9, Tamillow matched up against fifth-ranked Paul Bradley at 184 lbs.

Down 3-2 in the closing seconds, the freshman scored a single point with an escape to knot the score. He then slammed Bradley to the mat just as the buzzer sounded for two points and a 5-3 win. The 'Cats followed with three more individual victories to beat the Hawkeyes for the first time in 37 years.

Kwasinksi scored 16 points in the Wildcats' 59-48 win over No. 22 Penn State to help Northwestern to its first win over a ranked foe since 1999 and its first win over the Lady Lions since 1997.

She then netted 13 points along with a season-best five blocks and a season-best four assists in Sunday's game versus No. 24 Purdue. Her five rejections give her 173 for her career, drawing her to within one of Anucha Brown's all-time Northwestern record for blocks.
