EVANSTON, Ill. -- This past week, our athletic department received a highly complimentary report from Collegiate Proactive Solutions, Inc., a licensed private investigative agency and consulting firm that assists colleges and universities with their athletics programs.

In their latest report, Northwestern is featured as a visionary athletic department, which is deemed a premier organization in the industry that is widely admired by its peers and has a long track record of making significant impact on the world around them. A visionary athletics department is not a perfect organization -- it makes mistakes and has to deal with issues and problems like any other organization.

However, what sets apart a visionary athletic department, according to CPS, is how it deals with (and prevents the future occurrence of similar) issues and problems.

I thought fans of Northwestern athletics would enjoy reading this report. For a PDF version (you need Adobe Reader to view the file) of the report, click here.
