Student Ticket Policy For Saturday's Football Game

Sept. 29, 2004

"All of a sudden we had a bunch of students back who have fun, paint their bodies up and get after it. The students get fired up, and it was great to have them back. It gave us some juice, and the team really appreciated it. Shoot, we're not even in school yet and we had more than 3,000 students show up, and that makes a difference. It helps."
-- NU Football Coach Randy Walker, Chicago Tribune (9/20/04)

In an effort to improve efficiency in our new student admission process for football, we have expanded and upgraded the entrance system for students. Registered full-time undergraduate students will still be asked to enter through Gate T. We will have an increased number of upgraded WildCARD readers outside of Gate T. To enter Ryan Field, the mag stripe on the back of your WildCARD must be readable and valid. If it cannot be read or is invalid, you will be turned away at the gate and directed to the Student Admission Services window next to Gate T.

If you are not a registered student, you will have to purchase a $40 ticket (if available). The Ohio State game is close to selling out and tickets may not be available on Saturday. There are a limited number of student tickets (5,000), so we encourage you to arrive early. Seating is first-come, first-served until student seats are exhausted. Please have your valid WildCARD ready as you approach the gate.

Student Athletic Ticket Policies for Football Full-Time Undergraduate Students who registered will have an opportunity to attend all home Northwestern regular-season athletic contests with presentation of their valid Northwestern WildCARD ID. Students must present a valid WildCARD for admittance -- sorry, no exceptions. All seating is general admission*

Gate T will open 90 minutes before kickoff. WildCARD admission is valid only for the student section (North half of section 131, all of sections 132 and 133, top half of section 134). Seating is general admission within the student section. The student section is limited to full-time undergraduate students only. First-come, first-served, while seating lasts. Day of game admission only.

*NU Athletics reserves the right to enforce reserved seating if crowd control or safety issues dictate the necessity.
