EVANSTON, Ill. - Shannon Schneemen (St. Paul, Minn. Cretin-Derham Hall), set a pair of Northwestern women's soccer records in Sunday's 5-1 win against Colorado College, scoring four goals for eight points. The sophomore midfielder scored twice in each half to propel the Wildcats to their first victory of the season. Schneeman was a Big Ten All-Freshman Team selection a year ago; prior to Sunday, she had scored one goal in her collegiate career.

"Shannon is definitely a leader for this team," said NU head coach Jenny Haigh following the match. "She deserved everything she got out there today -- she works so hard and competes for everything. It was nice to see her get some opportunities and make the most of them."
