EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern has named Cristelle Grier (Surrey, England/Epsom) and Mark Ori (Niles, Ill./Maine South) its Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week. The honor is the second of the year for Grier and the first for Ori.

Grier won all of her doubles and singles matches over the weekend to lead Northwestern's 10th-ranked women's tennis team to the Big Ten Conference regular-season title. While extending her singles winning streak to 15, the sophomore also went undefeated in the conference (10-0) for the second-straight season in singles.

For the year, second-ranked Grier leads the Wildcats with a 33-3 singles record including 14 wins over ranked opponents.

In Saturday's doubleheader, he went 3-for-4 in both games, scoring and driving in a run in NU's 6-3 game one win. Ori went 1-for-4 with a walk Sunday.

He had a slugging percentage of .625 and an on-base percentage of .588 for the weekend and currently leads the team with a .349 batting average for the year.
