EVANSTON, Ill. - Freshman midfielder Kristen Kjellman was named the National Rookie of the Week by womenslacrosse.com for her performance in Northwestern's 7-5 win against Colgate Saturday.

Kjellman had three goals and three assists in the game, figuring in all but one of the Wildcat scores. Among her three assists were two that broke the game open, as she found Ann Elliott in front of the goal for the final two scores of the contest.

In addition to Kjellman's individual honor, the Wildcats received more good news as they moved up again in the IWLCA national poll, to No. 13. NU is in action today at Delaware, then is back at home Sunday to take on Virginia Tech.
