EVANSTON, Ill. - Two more items are up for bid on the Northwestern online auction. Bids may be submitted until Saturday!
3-on-3 with Tavaras Hardy and two NU Assistant Coaches
Here is a chance for you and a couple of your friends to enjoy some spirited 3-on-3 basketball with some of NU's best. Test your talents against assistant basketball coaches Craig Robinson and Mitch Henderson and former Wildcat standout Tavaras Hardy. Robinson, a two-time Ivy League Player of the Year for Princeton, and Henderson, a standout guard for the Tigers when they beat defending national champion UCLA in the NCAA Tournament, will be teamed up with Hardy, a recent graduate and member of the Wildcats' 1,000-point club. How good will your opponent be? Robinson and Henderson were part of a team that made it to the NBA's Hoop-It-Up 3-on-3 national championship game last year during NBA All-Star Weekend. Your game will be played in Welsh-Ryan Arena on Tuesday, May 4 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. It is recommended that you bring four players in case you need to substitute.
Great Framed Photos From the 1996 NU-Michigan Football Game
Before the 54-51 Michigan game in 2000, THE best Michigan game was in 1996. The 'Cats trailed 16-0 entering the fourth quarter, but prevailed, 17-16, on a Brian Gowins' 39-yard field goal with 13 seconds left... that the officials made him kick twice! The first photo is of Darnell Autry getting gang tackled, with the scoreboard in the background reading: Wildcats 0, Michigan 16. The other photo is a closeup of the scoreboard at game's end, complete with celebrating fans on the goalposts! Photos measure 24"x16" and are framed in black metal.
