Day Three Results of Milwaukee Classic

EVANSTON, Ill. - It will be an all-Northwestern semifinals in the Milwaukee Classic hosted by Marquette. As competition whittled down to the last four players Friday, junior Feriel Esseghir (Sarasota, Fla./UCLA), graduate student Valerie Vladea (Tiffin, Iowa), freshman Alexis Conill (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) and sophomore Alexis Prousis (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) are all that remains in singles competition.
Esseghir defeated Cristin Sammis 4-6, 7-5, 6-0. Vladea took down Rattiya Hiranrat in straight sets 6-0, 6-1. Conill and Prousis advanced to the semifinals by beating a pair of their fellow teammates. Conill defeated Jamie Peisel (Savannah, Ga./Savannah Country Day) 6-1, 7-5. Prousis beat senior Andrea Yung (San Marino, Calif./San Marino) 6-2, 6-3.
In doubles action, Prousis and Vladea cruised to a victory over Bukacek and Donovan 8-1.
