EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern wrapped up the Wildcat Invitational Sunday, Oct. 10 by going a combined 6-3 on the final day of the tournament in singles and doubles competition. The `Cats began the day with two wins in doubles competition as Alexis Conill (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) and Kristi Roemer (Piedmont, Calif./Piedmont) defeated Leung and Murisic 8-5.

Junior Feriel Esseghir (Sarasota, Fla./UCLA) and senior Andrea Yung (San Marino, Calif./San Marino) beat Jeanmaire and Parekh 8-4.

Conil and Esseghir recorded wins in their singles matches of the day as well, both winning in straight sets, while graduate student Valerie Vladea (Tiffin, Iowa/Minnesota) continued to roll through the competition, winning her match against Nusslock 6-3, 6-4.

The `Cats are next in action at the International Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Qualifier, which is set to begin Wednesday, Oct. 20 in Minneapolis, Minn.
