EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern went a combined 8-0 in singles action in the second day of competion Thursday, Nov. 4 at the Milwaukee Classic hosted by Marquette. Senior Andrea Yung (San Marino, Calif./San Marino), junior Jamie Peisel (Savannah, Ga./Savannah Country Day) and freshman Alexis Conill (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) all went 2-0 on day two.

Yung defeated Ivonne Andrade 6-3, 6-1, and later beat Malena Remynse 6-4, 6-1. Peisel also racked up two victories on the day, beating Daniela Martinez 7-5, 6-1 and Maelynn Bernosky 7-5, 3-6, 6-3. Conill beat Dominika Dabrowski 6-4, 6-0 before taking down Cassie Drake 6-0, 6-4.

Junior Feriel Esseghir (Sarasota, Fla./UCLA) and Alexis Prousis (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) saw their first action of the tournament. Both won their matches easily, as Esseghir defeated Francina Bonnelly 6-1, 6-2, while Prousis took down Doris Delgadillo 6-1, 6-1.

The 'Cats remained perfect in doubles action, as Esseghir and Yung defeated Indic Sammis 8-6. Peisel and Roemer paired up to beat Drake and Martinez 8-3.
