EVANSTON, Ill. - Thank you, to all who participated in this year's Alumni Weekend. We had record numbers and great weather for this year's events. This 9th annual golf weekend had 113 golfers, a new high for the event. Since moving to the Wilmette Golf Course our numbers have increased dramatically. Lunch prepared by the course and beautiful weather made for a great kick off to a very successful weekend.

Please plan for next year and mark your calendars for the weekend of September 23-25 (Penn State weekend), 2005! Come and join all of your friends for an enjoyable weekend!

Golf and Dinner
Wilmette Golf Course played host to a great outing and dinner for this year's event. With a record number of golfers the weather finally cooperated and gave us a beautiful day. Sunny skies and a temperature around 75? greeted 113 friends of the Northwestern Baseball program to kick off the start of a tremendous weekend.

Alumni showed up from all over the country to share this weekend with us, and the current players and staff gratefully appreciated your effort.

Football Saturday
With Friday such a great success, the Northwestern football team got in on the act, taking down then-No.6 Ohio State Buckeyes 33-27 in overtime. Many of us who live in the Chicago area were treated to a great game, but we are especially happy for those who came from far away to join us.

BBQ and Alumni Baseball
A special thanks to Bud Pohlman for donating the meat for a delicious BBQ. Another special thanks to the current players parents for cooking and bringing desserts. The tailgate before and during this year's Alumni Game was a new twist for us. The response was tremendous and we hope Sunday was enjoyable for everyone.

Again without sounding repetitious, we had a record turnout. Twenty-five players came back to participate in this year's game. Another five came by to share some of their day with us and to watch the former Cats battle the current student-athletes. Matt Huff ('93) defended his Homerun Derby Crown for the 9th straight year.

The game was won by the current Wildcats, score doesn't matter, but the game was fun, enjoyable and exciting. The current Cats demonstrated speed, power and quality pitching. The former Cats demonstrated the love of the game, desire, and how much fun it was to spend time with friends and family. Along with a lot of aches and pains that were reported the next day, we thank everyone for coming out and making this game the success

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HELPED US HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE THROUGHOUT THIS YEAR!
