Saturday's Doubleheader Canceled in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Northwestern's Saturday doubleheader with Indiana has been canceled due to inclement weather in the Bloomington area. The Hoosiers won the first game of the series 7-0 on Friday afternoon.

With Friday's win, Indiana clinched a spot in the Big Ten Tournament, which will take place in Minneapolis, Minn., beginning Wednesday. The Gophers won the regular season title when they defeated Ohio State 9-2 at Siebert Field Friday afternoon. It is Minnesota's second-straight Big Ten regular-season title.

NU is currently in fourth place with a 14-13 (.519) just two one-hundredth's of a point ahead of both Indiana and Penn State (15-14, .517).

The two teams will play a doubleheader on Sunday; game one will begin at 1 p.m.
