The Northwestern University Athletic Training Staff

The Northwestern University Athletic Training Staff took a unique perspective during the holiday season, doing a Toys For Tots gift exchange.

Under the guidelines, everyone on the athletic training staff -- from director of sports medicine Tory Lindley through all the student trainers -- drew a name. They were then supposed to get a "gift" for that person, using the following criteria:

1. Picking up on a personal characteristic or idiosyncrasy of that person, OR
2. Related to a funny story about something that person did or said.

At the training staff's holiday party, each person introduced his or her gift to the "recipient" with the explanation in front of the entire group. It made for plenty of great laughs.

The following day, the gifts were collected by the group and brought to Harris Bank on Sheridan Road in Wilmette to help them with their "Toys For Tots" promotion.
