EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) - Corrin Von Wald scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead No. 17 Minnesota to a come-from-behind 64-61 victory over Northwestern on Thursday night.

Lindsay Whalen added 18 points for the Golden Gophers (18-4, 7-4 Big Ten), who trailed 50-32 before going on an 18-0 run to tie it midway through the second half.

Suzanne Morrison led the Wildcats (7-17, 2-11) with 17 points.

Behind Von Wald and Whalen, the Gophers erased the effects of a 9-for-29 first-half shooting effort that included an 8-minute field-goal drought. The two scored 29 of Minnesota's 40 second-half points.

Northwestern shot 53.8 percent in the first half, draining 6-of-10 3-point attempts, but managed only 18 shots in the second half.

Samantha McComb scored 15 points and Sarah Kwasinski and Ifeoma Okonkwo each scored 10 for the Wildcats.
