EVANSTON, Ill.--This weekend will mark the 20th time Northwestern plays host to the Mildred & Roger L. White Invitational, in which NU is slated to play Drexel 5 p.m. Friday, followed by a contest between Eastern Michigan and Florida International at 7 p.m., all at Welsh-Ryan Arena.

The consolation game will take place at noon Saturday, with the championship game to follow. Last year, the Wildcats won the title for the 10th time, taking down Alabama-Birmingham 57-43. Sarah Kwasinski (Chicago, Ill./Fenwick) scored 16 points and made four steals to earn tournament MVP honors.

This year, expect Kwasinski to have another outstanding performance. The junior center leads the team in scoring (13.5 points per game) and rebounding (6.5 per game), has a .503 FG% and is perfect from the free throw line (8-for-8) this season.

Drexel (1-2) has three seniors in its lineup--guard Viktoria Hollosy, forward Candace Wilkins and guard/forward Ola Snytsina. The three combined for 46 points in the Dragons' 77-67 win over Saint Peter's Tuesday night. Hollosy and Snytsina are also threats from 3-point range, as both shoot better than .400 from downtown (5-for-9 and 12-for-28, respectively).

Last week, Eastern Michigan (3-1) lost its first game of the season when it fell to Michigan State 79-62. Freshman forward Sarah VanMetre hit five of her seven 3-point shots in the second half on her way to a game-high 25 points. VanMetre, with 14.5 points per game, is second among Eagles in scoring average next to sophomore forward Nikki Knapp, who has 15.8 points per game.

Florida International (1-4) is led by its junior tandem of guard Deniz Boz and forward/center Milena Tomova. The former has averages of 9.6 points and 4.2 assists per game, while the latter has 16.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
