Piriou, Rush Lose in NCAA Doubles Championships

STANFORD, Calif. - Junior Marine Piriou and sophomore Jessica Rush were alternates for the NCAA Doubles Championship, and were a late entrant when Virginia Commonwealth's Martina Nedelkova and Andrea Ondrisova pulled out. That left Piriou and Rush to go up against the tournament's fourth seed, Carolina Mayorga and Sarah Witten of Kentucky. In the end, the Kentucky 'Cats were too strong for NU's duo, taking a 6-1, 6-4 decision.

Piriou and Rush finish their season with a 24-5 record.
