WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Northwestern women's tennis team defeated Purdue, 6-1, to remain unbeaten in Big Ten play Sunday afternoon. NU is now 10-4 overall, 4-0 in conference. The Boilers dropped to 4-5 overall.

The Wildcats began the day by winning at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to gain the first point. Marine Piriou and Jessica Rush won at No. 1 (8-3) while Lia Jackson and Simona Petrutiu won at No. 2 (8-2).

In singles play, the Wildcats won five of the six matches, all in straight sets. The only loss came at No. 5, where Andrea Yung battled Purdue's Shawna Zuccarini before succumbing 7-6 (14-12), 6-4).
