EVANSTON, Ill. - One day after winning all 11 of her bouts in the NU Duals, Kelsey Nencheck (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) took home the ep?e title Sunday in the Illinois Junior Olympics. Freshman Emily Pasternak (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier), a sabreist, also garnered first-place honors.

Both women competed in the under-20 division at Patten Gymnasium.

Morgan Engling (Dubuque, Iowa/Dubuque) and Merry Lin (Flushing, N.Y./Benjamin N. Cardozo), who both walked on to the team earlier this season, each had solid showings Sunday. Coming off her first three collegiate wins in the NU Duals, Engling placed fifth in sabre. Lin finished fourth in foil.

Northwestern continues its dual season Nov. 23 at the Princeton Duals in Princeton, N.J. Among those expected to be on hand are North Carolina, New York University, Penn State, St. John's and host Princeton.
